In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I decided to look at some Irish Blessings. So many times, if we are looking for a wonderful Blessing, the Irish come to mind. Their history is laced with Blessings about their everyday life, nature, family, meals and their faith.
Northern Colorado has had a very tough couple of years as we have had below normal moisture. February, 2013 and now March has also been extremely windy. You might say, it’s OK because it has been warmer than normal. I am blessing the land, its creatures (including the humans) and Mother Nature to bring us rain.
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
