When I know someone has blessed me, I feel special and I feel gratitude for the situation that has brought our hearts together. Even if the Blessing has followed a sneeze, I always attempt to make eye contact and say, “thank you.” Lately, I’ve started saying “Bless your heart” following a sneeze. Many times the other person will look at me and smile before they acknowledge my act of kindness.
Most people know if there is meaning and a connection in what you are saying to them. How many times have people said to you, “how are you?” Do they stop and pause for you to respond or do they go right on with their conversation? Did they genuinely care? So next time you have an exchange, a casual greeting, give it a little meaning. Even if you don’t say “bless your heart”, put your heart into it.
How did you feel the last time you felt someone sending you a Blessing?
